That that hasn't happened in favor of an ugly vanity station (oculus) and the 2nd ave subway is a testament to government bureaucracy

Whatever organization controls the MTA, it should have a writ for the whole metropolitan area, state and city lines shouldn't be an obstacle

But then the mayor/governor wouldn't be able to take credit in the Times, so that's out the window. Maybe privatization is the only option.
