When you open a rail line and your main selling point is that you just created over 2,000 new parking spaces...something's not right

Interesting take. You can now catch train to and from airport, which is nice. Park and Ride may be somewhat inevitable in sprawling Denver.
-
It does cut down on driving, I've noticed. Ppl drive halfway as much now, to the station. What could have made this better?
-
You want to encourage walking w/i 1/2 mile of stations, have stations spaced reasonably to not force people to drive, more stops downtown.
-
Right--if the station is in a location where the only realistic way to access it is by driving, it's best not to bother with a station there
-
On the other hand, if it's in a place where walking is practical, you don't want to undermine that aspect by building lots of parking
-
Lots in such locations should fit traffic potential & site. If garage can be readily accessed & hidden from neighborhood, good. See Lansdale

I fucking love
