I mean like fully immersed in nature. Side benefit is that is 2 hours to any location on earth from 1 point.

I dont know about the east coast but the west coast and texas still have civilization all around a city for at least 90 min

thats cool as well but you'd have to compare it to lewis & clark or magellian

the cool thing about those explorers is that everywhere they went (and everywhere on the way) was habitable

not counting natural disasters, competing cultures, disease, ocean, deserts, etc etc
