that makes more sense. Pay extra for bypassing lesser used stations, not a comfier seat. I'm with that.

people should be able to use express trains without a markup; the distance (basis for fare) is the same

argument for charging more for express is to recoup revenue of Tix from bypassed station. Moot if demand for express is sufficient
