The density here is roughly 46,000 people per square mile. Of Tokyo's 23 Special Wards, 8 are at or above this density. Rest are emptier.

they're both too dense for me, but if I *had* to pick, I'd say the right, but not by much.
-
any particular reason you prefer it?
-
some measure of open space for a dog that's easily accessible. Privacy in either option is a joke so that's irrelevant.
-
think u mean isolation rather than privacy but yeah that makes sense
-
no, I really mean privacy. You can hear your neighbors when you share walls, and they can hear you.
-
I've lived in apartments too fam, it depends on the apartment
-
granted, but all I'm saying is that it's never an issue in a single-family detached.
-
for sure, which is why I like Japan-style density (detached homes close together) more than Europe-style (attached homes)

...but once you add other buildings we're back to picture on left, just at higher density

...if option on left is what you'd call sprawl I'm not sure what the alternative is
-
"Eco-Fascism" is a cruel mistress.
-
see, "sprawl" usually means development that is wasteful of space--the opposite is some kind of density (ie, 2 examples above)
