This is why I believe ideal models for society redistribute power & not wealth
-
-
-
there's a problem tho--wealth and power are interchangeable and the exchange rate never stays still
-
someone who makes a fortune inadvertently robs others of their power without ever taking anything tangible from them
-
and since new wealth keeps appearing, anyone who isn't getting richer is gradually losing power
-
I think this works in reverse as well--the payoff for being very powerful keeps increasing

Power > wealth. "Do you feel in charge?" (Bane the Elder).
-
exactly; wealth buys power and power secures wealth, but between the two, power wins
-
power makes/manages the pipes where wealth runs

@EvanMcM power over *people* is zero sum. Power over atoms and bits is not! -
Good point, I would agree.
