Today it's internet--in the past it was cars, telephones, even railways for a time...
-
-
Every time, it plays out the same way. The technology is invented in a city (of course) and is gradually adopted by more rural places...
-
...where it has a real, often positive impact, making rural life easier--but not so easy that cities become obsolete...
-
...for indeed, by the time the last tech has really caught on in the boonies, cities are already inventing the next one.
-
This will pretty much always be the case, but I think the rate of adoption will continue to increase as well.
-
The rate of adoption increases but the rate of invention increases faster--the latter makes the former possible
-
This is also true. This is why I hope Elon Musk is successful w/solar power plans. Gives small communities energy independence.
-
not gonna happen, calling it now the energy independence part, that is--I imagine Musk will pull something off re: solar power
-
Well, I'm optimistic about the electricity part. Oil of course will be tougher but slowly need for that will decrease over time.
