The foundation of this vision is the breakup of MBTA Commuter Rail into private rail companies (color coded on map).
IPO style? (problem with that is it tends to lead to short-termism, eye on quarterly reports, no?)
Does NE have any prospective buyers who own businesses in city and real estate at outbound ends? (i.e. Jpn model)
Not that I'm aware of, unfortunately--but I haven't really checked either
State govs could play a role at beginning maybe, or perhaps routes could be sold to existing Japanese operators, idk what's best
