It's worth remembering that I would have no interest whatsoever in trains if I hadn't seen the best they can offer as a little kid.

If I had never lived in Japan as a toddler, I would regard trains and transit the same way 90% of Americans do: with disgust.

It's only because I know what is POSSIBLE with transit that I care about it at all, and why I'm angry at the garbage we put up with here.
