Presently, I expect SDs will start to be used, and may become very common in a few decades. I don't expect car ownership to end tho

I expect self-driving cars to become very common in cities, not countryside, and to make taxis obsolete before anything else.

Not in the US at least. There's this whole part of the country that is "not city" and it's pretty damn big.
