To clarify official #TrainTwitter policy: Train Twitter is concerned with all aspects of how trains affect your daily life.
-
-
-
Not only while you are riding, but also your experience when trains pass through your neighborhood.
-
To this end,
#TrainTwitter cannot endorse noisy, polluting steam trains, and disavows all association with them.pic.twitter.com/3uX8niQXTj
-
Moreover, because your time is important to us, poorly-accelerating locomotives are frowned upon.pic.twitter.com/lZgpaGLutX

At
#TrainTwitter we endorse Electric Multiple Units above other options to ensure your maximum satisfaction. -
Rapid acceleration, quiet passage, and no space wasted on engines at the front--the view is all yours!pic.twitter.com/0t4jSbsEam

how do you feel about trams?
-
I like them in general, but they really need dedicated ROW to be worth the investment--otherwise they're just buses on tracks
-
Right Of Way; as opposed to running in mixed traffic with regular cars etc
-
oh i see. that makes sense.
-
my dad was recently hired to investigate a series of accidents in a town in the UK where trams' pantographs were torn apart
-
whoa, what happened? vandals?
-
looks like the power cable had too much slack, and under certain shocks would wrap around components of the pantograph

neat concept but few practical applications right now--it'll really prove itself in 2027 when the Chuo Shinkansen opens
