From Oyama, I retraced the path of the main character in 5cm Per Second to Iwafune. The platform in first pics is where his letter blew away...pic.twitter.com/8xI6yJiTVx
Too foggy to see the distinctive hill which I assume the town is named for. The station has changed a bit from how it was depicted in the movie--no more stove or station agent; it's all automated now.pic.twitter.com/6JQ2SdQnlX
The station exterior is the same tho. The village is quiet and unremarkable.pic.twitter.com/KI60dSvDEb
Shortly after I arrived, a bus pulled up. For the life of me, I can't make head or tail of its route or schedule

Mission complete! I'm back at Oyama now, my train leaves in 4 minutespic.twitter.com/xCCoAVIysa
He is very angry with me right now and stopped replying to my messages...I'm not sure what he's up to but last I heard he was determined to just go home
Lol it wasn't politics don't worry. And ya I'm giving him space rn, I figure he will get in touch with me when he feels like talking or if he runs into serious trouble
