Signed an early peace treaty to conclude my colonial war with England during my commute this morning--I had secured the Thirteen Colonies, knocked the Iroquois out of the war, seized Chile, and occupied all of England's colonies in Africa...but I only made modest gains in treaty.

I was also hoping to get all of the Seychelles and Mauritius, but had to settle for the former--and instead of taking large swathes of the Thirteen Colonies, I settled for Miami and part of Maine. Didn't take *any* of England's colonies on the West African coast.

The reason I went for an early treaty was to save my army that was invading English Argentine, where I didn't have a good grasp of how many enemy troops were in the area until too late. 4,000 lives spared there, and overall casualties in the 4-year war were only about 24,000.

Like the Malacca War a few days ago--limited geographical gains, but more than sufficient in economic terms. But THIS time, I was able to do so with just a quarter of the losses. Not bad!

It's still too early for me to be able to project power into Europe, and sending navies that way comes at a steep cost in terms of naval attrition. I'll use Maine as a launchpad to build a presence in the North Atlantic, colonize Greenland, and take it from there.
