There's a guy who I frequently run into at lunch at the Dunks near my office--a regular PVTA rider who is very frustrated with the current state of affairs. Not that I can blame him for that...I'm frustrated too.

This goes to show the drawbacks of exalting public opinion and feedback--there are exceptions, but as a general rule they don't understand where the problems with transit are coming from and thus can't really address them.

1) A whole thread and not one word about exactly WHAT is "fucked up" with PVTA 2) A business that does not put customer needs at a high priority, is doomed to failure. 3) This is why I don't want government in charge of much of anything other than public safety - local and intl.

4) Public hearings that don't address issues are, as U said, useless. Lawmakers requiring them shows they have no clue about running a business. 5) PVTA needs resources. In govt speak, that usually means money. Perhaps a talented BUSINESS person in charge might find efficiencies

I had my one and only encounter with PVTA in thirty years 3 months ago. Needed ride to HMC. Couldn't drive as I couldn't drive home due to meds. PVTA arrived at my home 5-10 minutes early. Positive Experience. But, this service is pvt, I believe. Fare was $2.50. Suggest $5 OK.
