Hitting the mid 1500s in my current game...finally embraced the Renaissance and was able to get a colonial nation in Alaska, so should be able to embrace Colonialism soon too. But aside from that expansion is kinda slow...struggling to get full control over Malacca by 1600

Religious unity is a big problem too, since I can only convert provinces that are full state cores (and I can only manage so many states at this point in the game)

Fought a successful war against Brunei and Malacca with Ayutthaya and Majapahit as allies. Accidentally granted two provinces to Ayutthaya in the treaty and wasn't able to get much land from Malacca...did better with Brunei but they're still around.

Finally ready to go to war with Brunei again to consolidate my control over Borneo but in the meantime Ayutthaya got into a war and won't join mine if I declare...which means I can't quite get enough ships into the area to hold off the full combined navies of Malacca and Brunei

So I'm stalling, building more ships and recruiting more men. Very decent income so far in this game, I have money to spare at almost all times and have invested heavily in buildings

Now that Alaska's formed, I've sent my colonists to Hawaii and Rabaul, and will move them to Australia once they're done. Then California, then Mexico.

My main concern at this point is that global trade will end up spawning in Majapahit--I need them as allies right now, and even if I can clean up Malacca and Brunei quickly, it'll be a slow process to get enough of Java under my control to ensure that it spawn in my territory

Also I'm still lagging a bit on tech...esp admin, since I spend so much on coring new conquests
