Notice nobody else on the train is trying to wake him or clean up...I trust none of them moved to try and catch the box before it slipped, either...this is what "just mind your business lol" gets you--a miserable ride for all, doing their best to pretend they don't notice!
Maybe public transportation in the United States is hell because we make it hell
How hard is it to holler at the dude, “Hey, pal, wake up! You’re gonna lose your pizza!”
in new york you sort of have to assume that anyone acting erratically in public is off his meds, and potentially dangerous
falling asleep isn't "acting erratically" tho, it's perfectly understandable
My immediate assumption—just or unjust, and it may well be unjust—is that he nodded off after having too much to drink.
could be--or he's just tired, I find it's easy to doze on a train (but gotta make sure I won't be dropping things first!)
All of this goes to say that I still think that it was at least worth hollering at him before he dropped his pizza. (Less sure about taking it and putting it on the seat next to him.)
