New Urbanism is good, actually. Literally the only bad thing about pic 2 is the streets are too wide
The streets are too wide, until you have people parking on both sides and need to get a fire truck through. Of course, if they’re sprinklered throughout then we can start using smaller fire trucks.
still too wide--those setbacks are ridiculous and I highly doubt people actually make use of the lawns they provide
also >on-street parking if you don't think a development like this includes off-street parking lots or garages (or both) then you haven't seen enough of them
Do you have to pay extra for the garage? How many parking spots allowed per unit? All sounds great until 4th July when everyone has people over, and where do they park... I don’t like those setbacks, makes it a longer reach for the aerial, but that’s the FF talking
>everyone has people over Bruh where are those people coming from except other places where they normally take up parking? And wouldn't some people living here also go away to see friends elsewhere? Either way, there's generally way more parking spaces than resident-owned cars
...and on-street parking would add very little new capacity to boot
