This is one of the reasons bikes/mopeds are perfect as a city POV - 6+ can stack in one car space when stationary. They offer a reasonable tradeoff vs bicycles and pedestrians rather than a massive waste of street area as cars do

I’ve seen this done well in Europe (Barcelona?). Intersections have a motorcycle/moped/bicycle area infront of the cars, and the bikes all filter through to the front.
