No sidewalks, no bike lanes, no crosswalks--goodness, how will cyclists and pedestrians survive in such a hostile environment???pic.twitter.com/0CqLUG7Yjo

whole idea of walking--if you ask me--is it doesn't need its own infrastructure! I can almost say the same for biking--but bikes do better on paved surfaces than on grass/dirt/gravel (cyclists were first political bloc in USA to push for asphalt roads: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Roads_Movement …)
yep, one could say you were advocating favelas and such. Which I know you aren't, but it'd be a fun point to make.pic.twitter.com/bFbLkPUvbx
favelas are basically what good urbanism looks like when it's built out of garbage, supplied by pirated utilities, has no concept of property rights, and is rife with crime
That's a pretty cool definition.
thanks!
I mean, bike activists do say that on local streets you don't need separate infrastructure, you just need to remove car traffic.
Better--but you'll notice first pic isn't closed to cars, yet still safe for bikes
Oh, I meant remove most car traffic, not all. Get it down to 1-2 cars/min
