I mean damn just look at the difference in road widths--granted Boston Road is a major arterial, but there's still the parking lot access road etc...
Remember that we have a huge housing problem in our major cities, prices sky-high w very little development...allowing development with narrower roads and smaller setbacks could put tons of new units on the market
Remember, ppl don't usually stay forever in the first house they buy! How many more would be able to start down the road of homeownership if we built like this? Crazy to make people wait for their own roof over their head until they can pay for the yard at the same time...
The demand in any city in America called Springfield isn’t there for people to need housing like that in Tokyo, so why expect the houses to be cramped together?
I don't *expect* them to be close together in Springfield (although hilarious that San Francisco, Boston, etc can't figure it out), just that when I saw a large vacant plot in Springfield my first thought was "I bet I could fit over 20 houses here if I built Japan-style"
We like our yards.
