same problem here! USA does not respect this elementary aspect of customer service in transit...a few weeks ago near me, crazy woman attacked other passengers with knife, injuring two, was finally subdued by driver until cops arrived

I feel like a bourgeoise asshole complaining about this because I know ultimately it’s due to a lack of properly funded mental healthcare and addiction/homelessness support but man. it does get old

I'm less patient with them at this point, having lived with addicts on several occasions. Too often, trying to help out only gets you involved in their messes without improving their situation at all. Wish I could be more optimistic about this.
