staggering to see people who talk about supply and demand all day struggle this much at putting the two together

This one is particularly insulting: http://www.latimes.com/projects/la-fi-farms-immigration/ … Talking about how wages are soaring...all the way to just under $30,000 a year. Yeah, keep going, still not high enough. Also way to use a timescale going back to 199-fucking-6

Oh--and which STOPS IN 2015, before Trump even got elected! "Soaring" my asspic.twitter.com/baRO4TyV3n

Not sure which part of the article is funnier: the guy who is exclusively hitting up addicts and invalids for farm labor, or the admission that there are all kinds of ways for farmers to copepic.twitter.com/tsZ8umNrOO

Hot take: bus drivers are an ideal employment sink for a jobs guarantee
-
harder work than people think, and with enormous responsibility (all the lives on that bus that you're accountable for!)
-
Oh I definitely don't doubt that--but it's the sort of service there will always be demand for (given good planning! thank u 4 ur service) and will always serve the public good
-
for sure--as far as labor sinks go, I gotta endorse sanitation squads to keep buses and bus stops in better condition! simple work with immediate positive effects
-
yeah no doubt, transit vehicle operator positions are necessarily sticky
