the article dances around an important point; that people's dislike of buses involves (primarily) the problems of operating in mixed traffic..."why not just call this BRT" why not indeed? but so many BRT projects still operate in mixed traffic!
The hype for this trackless train is unwarranted: it hasn't solved any technological problems because the problem with transit isn't one of technology, but one of politics--nobody wants to get rid of road space and dedicate it to transit (and this will not change it!)
Now we're getting into the realm of municipal politics which is pretty arcane at least where we are from. If only there were a way to make city politics more appealing and accessible to people who don't own land
