Given that we have a rail industry utterly in thrall to freight interests, which idiotically views passenger service as a threat to moving goods, I feel like anything that makes sense to ship by train is probably already going by train. It's PASSENGER RAIL that we need more of!

Ultimately, the argument that we should get more freight to go by train than by road is motivated by the desire to make driving in America EVEN EASIER than it is, the flip side of the freight monomania of our railways. ENOUGH!!
