Chevron just announced its highest profits EVER. Is it using the money to invest in climate solutions like all its advertising suggests? No. It's spending $75 billion on stock buybacks to line the pockets of its wealthy shareholders and executives.

The gas stove hubbub might have you thinking a new study came out that shocked scientists and regulators into action. The truth is that decades of research have been finding the same thing: gas stoves can be quite bad for your health. By me

If the Right wants to have a culture war where they defend outdated appliances that kill you and the planet, while we get to sell a sparkling new clean energy future that lowers costs and saves the world, bring it the fuck on.

An impressive new study led by @jaredmstarr shows the massive and rage-inducing scale of carbon inequality. They find that super-rich US households emit +2000x more CO2e than average low-income country households. I had to see what that looks like👇 1/ doi.org/10.1016/j.ecol

Exxon scientists accurately predicted the upward trend of global warming – to a tenth of a degree – yet executives buried that data to make BILLIONS in profits. We must hold the entire industry accountable for the death and destruction they knowingly and directly caused. twitter.com/billmckibben/s…
