forgot to mention... first year of gawker 2.0, every single zoom with , she would chat me directly, saying hi to get my attention, and when i responded she would reply "you look beautiful today" and take a screenshot of me for a "before and after" being called beautiful

Well, after an incredible 1.5 years, BDG has decided it is done with Gawker 2.0. Can't say enough about how proud I am of the site and all the brilliant people who worked to create it, and what a staggering shame this is. I had an absolute blast, and I love you.

It’s not a “gotcha” to point out that I’ve never complained about the suspension of far right accounts, but do criticize banning of leftist accounts. My dream isn’t a world where fascism and anti-fascism have equal access to the public sphere. I want fascism to lose 🤷🏻♀️

so often during this elon stuff it reminds me of driving around nashville, tn (long story) chugging a sonic sour patch kids slush (no ice cream) listening to podcasts about it being like "pffft yeah right" so now i just constantly am thinking of that slush. miss it
