Chanting "four more years!" was *totally unprecedented* in a SOTU and yet it hasn't even elicited a tsk-tsk from the press. They are totally accustomed to Republicans shredding the norms, but utterly shocked when Dems reciprocate.

Wow. Homeland Security just suspended Global Entry for all New York residents because the state refuses to help the government deport people.

Hey Newt, remember when Callista was blowing you in the backseat of a car while you were still married to your second wife and Speaker of the House? I was disgusted by that.

The Republican party’s 2012 nominee for President, Mitt Romney, becomes the first Senator in American history to vote to convict a President of the same party in an impeachment trial.

Make sure the anger you feel at this moment stays just as hot as we head for November. Nobody who voted to acquit in this fixed sham trial should be spared. Organize. Vote. That's how justice must be served.

why do you think those would have gotten votes in the Senate, when all the votes they've actually passed (including a prescription drug vote) haven't?

The House proved overwhelmingly that the President abused his power. Now the verdict is in: One Republican Senator had the courage to do impartial justice. To put country over party. And vindicate the Founders’ faith in self-governance. And show us, Right still matters.

A president who is allowed to show contempt for Congress and its oversight duties. A trial without a single witness. I am disturbed by the precedent this sham process sets for this country. This is not a good day for our democracy, the Constitution, or the American people.

Mitch McConnell says the impeachment is over and it’s time to put all that behind us and look to the future where one day he can hopefully keep another Democratic Supreme Court nominee from even appearing.

An autocratic executive elected with a minority of the vote was just acquitted by a Senate also elected by a minority & a judiciary appointed by two presidents who, you guessed it, were elected by a minority of the vote. It’s safe to say the US no longer qualifies as a democracy.
