@chesaboudin needs to check his logic. Just because a criminal is nonviolent, it doesn't mean he/she won't be reckless. Speeding is nonviolent. DUI is nonviolent. Robbery is nonviolent. But all of them can lead to violence. It's not hindsight. Chesa gambled and he lost.
