Hi @TeamYouTube!
We have been patiently waiting over the last 2 months for the comment section to be sorted out. We understand there was an extreme need to get rid of inappropriate comments YouTube wide. We have an amazing community on our channel and we closely monitor comments.

Is there someone we can talk to in regards to turning our comments back on? We would love to hear the plan. Our YT community focuses around supporting each other which has been since taken away. Thank you

As a viewer I actually support YouTube turning off family channels comments. I've seen some terrible comments no one can completely police their comment section and not every YouTuber even does. So they should leave them off in effort to protect the children on YouTube.

I think it should be case by case. There are some family channels who focus solely on their children and that’s what their content is about. Phil&alex focuses on so much more then that. They offer support, accept support, educate( faith, adoption) and so much more. We need comments

Yeah but who would choose who's worthy and who isnt? It's just not fair to pick and choose who is allowed comments and who isnt.

But why should family channels who did consistently monitor their comment sections, be punished for channels that didn't bother to or couldn't? I don't think thats fair either.

In many cases, the interactions creaters have with their viewers is imperative to the success of their channel. Taking that away unilaterally, can be detrimental to income of these channels. I don't believe turning off comments is a logical permanent fix.

It just feels like a lazy solution...

They could always just do away with family channel's, so what's the better option? No family channels or no comments?
