If you ever wondered why most US/UK media coverage of Russia is garbage, take a look at this job advert from @nytimes. Pretty clear that any applicants who would like to cover Russia objectively & fairly won't be considered. And that's partially why things are as they are...pic.twitter.com/M7IXdnSafW

Whether you believe Navalny was poisoned with a nerve agent, or not (still to be conclusively proven), he isn't the "opposition leader." Also, Putin is not "hiding out in his villa," he was in the Kremlin yesterday, and in Sochi, last week, and St Petersburg the week before thatpic.twitter.com/i8zAsWpV5Q

Don't even know why I'm fact checking this. Because clearly facts and accuracy don't matter to @nytimes when it comes to Russia. Instead, it wants somebody to cover the country Marvel comics style. If it wasn't so depressing, it'd be kinda funny. 🤦‍♂️🤮

After reading the @nytimes job advert, can't help thinking of this, from earlier in the month.https://twitter.com/27khv/status/1323227744126251009?s=20 …

🤣🤣We are to believe that the @nytimes tried to break the mould of US/UK media coverage of Russia by somehow writing a "nice little story" about the country - showing it in a positive light 🤣🤣 - but was somehow thwarted by events taking "a turn." 🤣🤣 pic.twitter.com/M3Uoquedk2

Btw, to be fair, it’s not only the @nytimes which has a predetermined biased narrative it insists Moscow correspondents must follow. Other US/UK media outlets are just as bad. This @wsj job advert is from 2018.pic.twitter.com/gTPn0TfWP0

At least, and thanks to the upcoming legislation, said newly hired “journalist” will be classified as a foreign agent - which he/she will in fact be.
