I normal just give like a dollar. Unless i go out and eat then 15%

I carry a few one dollar Bill's on me like a couple bucks for people who help me in hotels and more for restaurants. But dont feel terrible! You can always give them good notions to the front counter or tell the staff how awesome they were.
