I'm a 40yr old cis woman. Until last year I had an amazing elderly relative who transitioned when I was a teen. It never occurred to me she was anything other than herself. I miss her. Trans women are women. GCs don't speak for me their ‘feminism’ is not feminism. #CisWithTheT

Thank you. I never wanted to make a fuss about her gender, but today it felt right to mention her and the quiet but impactful life lesson she taught me. I’m glad I got to thank her for being in my life before she passed away.
