    People have way too much faith in the organisational ability of the government. Masks and restrictions aren’t about control. They’re a flailing attempt to be seen to do SOMETHING. The double standards aren’t methodical. They’re the result of a lack of joined-up thinking.

    I think because of the sheer SIZE of Oasis back then, and the sort of ubiquitous cultural weight they had, their songs were always going to feel disappointing at the time. With a bit of distance you can be a bit more objective.

    Do people in other countries have this or is it just us?

    The waitress started taking away my coffee but I hadn't finished it and then she saw me looking anxious so said, "have you finished with this?" but I panicked and didn't want to make her feel bad so said "yes" BUT I HADN'T. I HADN'T FINISHED IT. I hate myself. I want more coffee.

    Just heard Oasis’s ‘Go Let It Out’ on the radio. Who changed reality? Im sure in my home timeline that song was bloody awful, not … actually quite enjoyable? The difference 20 years distance makes.

    I cannot believe I used to do this. Brutal 5am starts at the Guardian reading people’s horrible opinions. The only place open to get coffee at 4.45am was McDonalds and it was 50/50 whether they’d switched to the breakfast menu.

    “It feels like the most effortless exchange of true love.” I’ve known for years but we mostly talk about Blur, so I’m coming to this info fresh. This is incredible writing, generous, good humoured, devastating by turns. So proud.

    WAIT, so when American's say "orchestra" when talking about theatre seats they mean the whole bit of floor on the lowest level? What we call The Stalls? I always thought it meant some sort of special super expensive seats among where the band are.

    I watched this video. It's hilarious. Neil looks awful and sounds like he's at the bottom of the well, and after he introduces the feature he pauses awkwardly for about ten seconds as if expecting a VT which never comes.
