My husband was recently blue lighted into hospital with heart problems. We were told by a doctor in A&E that as he was over 70 if his heart stopped they would not resuscitate as it would not be worth it. I was stunned. He has a pacemaker & defib so I said that would kick.
This is incredibly disturbing - if this is the unofficial protocol then it should be stopped forthwith.
This is terrifying, there is no doubt as we age many develop age related conditions. This is no reason to right us off. Many people live well with chronic illness into their 90's . Proactive care can help but we know it is all about the money & #discrimination #solentgreenpic.twitter.com/YIXZg7tlAn
It is genocide.
Yes just found out a Hospital Consultant put DNR on someone and claimed it was agreed with relatives who were not aware
That was my sister's experience too. The Dr who signed DNR form claimed he had discussed with both her and me and we were in agreement. In fact we had specifically requested it be removed. How are they allowed to get away with these lies?
It doesn’t surprise me, I’m 63 have arthritis and osteoporosis, had a shoulder repair 19 months ago , back injections, and facing a second shoulder op, after 20 plus years self emp I could not go on so I’m doing a physical job now as not qualified for anything else ,
