Ya amazing it was functional after those gymnastics
it’s a nand programmer, it uses Apple’s diags to read (and eventually write) the mass storage informations of the device (SN, Motherboard SN..) and there are a lot of variants

search on google for WL NAND programmer, that’s one of the best products around. They (almost) all rely on the same technology though
