I do hope liberals who say "now that we've won it's time to reach across the aisle to conservatives" can one day understand that it makes conservatives hate them *more*

I live in a semi-rural area that’s nearly 50/50 blue/red. Everyone gets along fine, nobody fits the stereotypes and caricatures dreamed up on twitter or by absurd clickbait articles demonizing political opponents.

I'm being flip, but unfortunately it seems pretty clear to me that lot of people do NOT want to get along Mostly because they have extremely different ideas of where the country should go and what society should look like Incompatible, actually

I’m guessing if you sat most of them down together they’d find they have a lot more in common than not. Regardless, all should live and let live.
