Wrong take. They aren’t defending him because they know he’s lost. Trump is far more dangerous.
If they knew he'd lost, they'd speak out against him They're waiting to see which way the wind blows on this. Whether it looks like Trump can get away with it or not They haven't ruled out backing him

Some have spoken out against him, albeit tepidly. But they can’t alienate their base because they need them after Trump has lost. We have to remember that a majority of these corporatocracy politicians like the status quo and want capitalistic stability. 1/#

Will they end up backing him? We can’t rule that out. But if they wanted to back him then they’d be like Lindsay Graham and come out and say it. They are absolutely not backing his lunacy right now because their internal polling/statistics shows he’s lost the presidency. (2/2)
