I have a relative who was a Federal Marshall his entire adult life. Very well connected. His kids used to go to the Easter egg hunts at the White House. He resigned when Trump was elected. He didn’t want any parts of trump corruption or the racist culture he saw peers adopting.

He always leaned conservative, but is a gentle, kind soul who’s always been a staunch advocate of human & civil rights. He lasted a long time, but as with most people who go into law enforcement w/ good intentions, he ultimately had to make a choice to leave or conform. He left.
