Exactly. I have learned this, I am going to use it because I feel the movement is totally off the rails & I will not be a party to an abusive movement. So I will use the concepts I learned at Evergreen, and in my anti-oppression workshops to take on oppressive behavior.

Why should the movement be immune from critique? Why should abusive behavior not be met with some pushback, using a framework to which you understand. And from a place of kindness, not hate. I dont hate you. I get it. But it does not help the movement to call people names.

And what I mean by offense, not defense, is I am meeting this head on, using the training that has been approved, just not in an approved manner. Slurs are absolutely an attempt to dehumanize people so you feel ok doing physical harm, and hence the hard line.
