Thank you for asking. I interpret it that way, because of how it has been used to slur me. I am more or less housebound. So while I am not offended, people have told me I need to stay in my underground dwelling. That is an attempt to hurt a disabled person. I am against slurs.

It is not intent it is impact right? The intent behind the word is to dehumanize people, which is wrong. It makes it very easy to dismiss the rest of what you say when you are intentionally trying to harm someone w your words. That is why we have inclusive language, to avoid that

I believe in empathy/respect for all, even those I most fiercely disagree w. That is the test, can I have empathy for even the worst people? It can be hard, say w those who murder, but there is a reason they turned out that way. I can have empathy w/o approving of their actions.

Like Matt Doloff, I certainly don't approve of what he did. But I feel for him, his life is ruined, he will have to live with that one moment for the rest of his life, it will haunt him. Best to live in a way that your conscience will be clear. Including rejecting cannibalism :)
