One way to overcome helplessness is to transmute it into rage. This can actually be real productive, but the target is important There's a teeny bit of a tendency on the Left sometimes to turn that rage on those next to us, for not doing enough or maliciously doing it wrong

I'm not saying internal criticism is bad or that there aren't problems in here, of course there are. Just: ask yourself if the person you're furious at is the problem or if it just feels better to be angry at someone you can see than a system completely indifferent to your pain

We are all trapped in a system we did not create that is choking the life out of us. Some people are choked way harder than others No one on the left wants this shit, that's why we're here None of us knows exactly how to fix it, if we did we would have done it already

Thank you! Your voice is vital for sustained resistance and fundamental social change. My appreciation comes from my own long history of engaging in long nonviolent action campaigns. Be well.

This pleasant to read. I am far less to the Left than many people I'm trying to stand with together; but we're trying to get to the same destination! Kinda tired of seeing people completely dismissed for not passing somebody's personal purity test for being "Left Enough."

I know you’re super busy, but check out The Plague by Camus. It really helped me work through a lot of my emotions concerning 2020 and what’s going on right now. Oh, and it’s also an allegory for fascism and how to fight it.

I’ve been recommending this book to everyone this year.
