but how do you describe images? This is a conundrum I face, especially as a vision impaired person who struggles, at times, to describe images I post to my own website. This is particularly a problem when describing book covers.

The cool thing is alt-text doesn't have the same character limit as regular tweets so you can go into as much detail as you want. I'm struggling w/figuring out what's important to include (esp w/screenshots of texts) but better to have something than nothing.
very true. When available, I watch TV and movies with audio description and I am really surprised at how much I miss because of my vision impairment. Of course I miss facial expressions (and I can’t interpret them because of a lifetime of vision impairment) but there’s MORE!
