Respectfully, I already follow Brian's good advice and get arrest footage when I can We are acutely aware of our legal rights and the ways in which those rights are violated every night. We do our best under the circumstances and have the bruises/injuries to prove it

I'll second this. Last night I asserted my rights under the TRO to Brent Taylor and he stopped badgering me to get on the sidewalk. Other nights he and others have used physical force to move me under almost identical circumstances.

So IANAL, but my impression has generally been that the "get off the street" threat at marked press is largely just a threat bc it's not enforcible. *HOWEVER* I don't recommend you test this unless prepared to spend a night in jail-especially anyone not white, male, and 35-40+

That's something I don't understand. If the police are in the street blocking traffic why cannot the press be in the street to film the cops? I think PPB is being unreasonable and I would love to see them challenged on those things. Press doesn't interfere as far as I've seen
