This is just cruelty for the hell of it This isn't the kind of thing you can reform with more regulations. Body cameras and bans on choke holds won't fix the actual poison, which is a culture of sadism and a delight in wielding power against the powerless
It's the same impulse that makes cops go after the smallest protesters when they rush. It's the same impulse that makes them go after people they perceive as low status, read: black people
We do need law enforcement, I believe that. Humans are violent creatures, any society worth living in has to have some mechanism to deal with that But this ain't it. Our mechanism CAUSES violence, it has to go We need to abolish the police and create something better
Disgusting! Heartless! You can not reform a system in which that is ok.
