Black's law: "An assemblage of many people, acting in a violent and disorderly manner, defying the law, & committing, or threatening to commit, depredations upon property or violence to persons." BUT some states laws just say "2 or more people" - not many. So, it will vary I bet

BTW Black's law is *the* legal dictionary but it's still just a dictionary. I found the FL statutes about riots that mentioned "mobs" but I didn't spot how they defined. ...also front coming in (?) is crushing my head. Ow.
