It's a double-edged sword, of course. When antifascists show up, it gives the far right a chance to make propaganda. They are very good at making themselves out to be victims on film so that people like Andy Ngo can make and distribute propaganda for centrists

No one likes the word "optics," but it's important not to underestimate the power of that kind of propaganda. "How would this look from the outside" is far from the only thing an antifascist activist should consider, but it should always be one of the things considered

All the same, for the sake of the community: the answer to "the far right is coming" should NEVER be "just don't show up" Because when they come to town looking for a fight, they will always find one
