Pretty average crowd for a Tuesday event--maybe 150-200. Solid and determined. It sets out from the park to...well, you can probably guess I'm hearing strains of "Bella Ciao"

This is a nice neighborhood. People come out of their houses to watch and take pictures A strange intersection of two worlds. What's it like to see this only when it comes through your neighborhood?

The protest has arrived at the Multnomah County Sherrif's Office on Hawthorne. No sign of the cops so far These windows aren't boarded at all. Interesting Crowd stands in the street and chants. "Fuck the Portland Police Bureau!!"

Not much happening. Extremely chill. Aside from some littering no crimes have taken place

Block party vibes. It's always so weird how chill these things seem until they aren't

A flaming object thrown through the broken window. Does not appear to have caught anything else on fire so far

Chant: "What did you see? Didn't see shit!" What no one saw is the reason why things are far more on fire inside the MSCO than previously

Riot line push protesters to 9th and Madison. At least 1 arrest Then they get on their riot vans and drive off It wasn't a big line, but then again it's not a big crowd Protest regroups, begins to move

As I pressed send tweet on that arrest video a cop line manifested and pushed us several blocks, to 12th and Salmon Worth noting we were NOT moving towards the MSCO at the time They've left again for now

It has now been 0 days since I twisted my ankle for literally no good reason. I think it's ok but I'll have to wait for the adrenaline to wear off Sheer clumsiness, all my fault

Taking a nice, loud walk through Ladd's addition "Out of your houses, into the streets!" "No justice, no peace!" My God these houses are large. What would you even do with all these rooms?!

The protest stops in an intersection and takes a vote. Back to the precinct? Or keep waking up the rich people? Vote concluded. We're on the move again

Riot cops met us and pushed to Sandy and 7th. Still pushing Not the worst rush we've experienced

The riot line has left but cop cars are circling like sharks I think it's just a scare tactic "They're tired from rushing 2 blocks!" someone quips. They did do a good double time there at the end

We once again have the phenomenon wherein the protest is small enough to fit onto the wide sidewalks, which is basically what's happening Hard to bullrush that kind of crowd Just hanging out at Sandy and Oak

Some mild arguments "Who is leading the march, because staying here is stupid!" "Buncha white people leading this march..." "Can we get some options so we can voice our opinion?"

And the riot ban has returned with much fanfare
