Real Nazis would have loved this film for it's heroic oversimplification, picking on the weak, and erasing history. Hollywood is not on our side against facism. Hollywood embraced Birth of A Nation and Triumph of The Will.
It was a feel-good, testosterone-poisoned time. No one thinks it's actual history I absolutely refuse to give up violent escapism just because I hate fascism
