It's not a peaceful protest. It's a largely nonviolent protest My wrist is still severely swollen and bruised from getting pepper balled and my leg has an indented scab from whatever cut it open three weeks ago. You're goddamn right this isn't a peaceful protest

These protests are complicated and a lot of different factions are involved. Some people think these protests should be peaceful. Others, like me, prefer "nonviolent." Property damage is not, to me, violence, but it's not peace either

The police have been responsible for the vast majority of violence against human beings in Portland. And yes, there has been some retaliation: mostly thrown water bottles, lasers, and fireworks. These things do not do anything like the damage done by police weaponry
