The videographer in question is a person of color who has been risking his personal safety to get video for the last 60 days. Donating to him should not be the totality of anyone's activism, nor should this video be the only thing people watch, but I stand by the solicitation
(also, he did not ask me to do this nor does he yet know I did it, so while he is the appropriate target for your money I am the appropriate target for anger over this solicitation)
No anger at all, just encouraging the PDX journalists to cover the BLM voices & issues in addition to the confrontations with the feds/police. It’s shocking how little, if any, coverage happens of speakers & issues etc.
That's fair I do try in my live tweets to cover speeches when I can. There have been fewer and fewer of late. It's difficult to have speeches when fed violence erupts without warning It's my hope that pushing back against the narrative of violent protesters helps advance BLM
